About the electronic Medical Record (eMR):
The eMR is more than just a place where we document notes and record observations, The eMR is a tool to aid in the care of patients.
- The eMR presents a comprehensive patient health history,
- can react to changes in the patient’s condition to assist with deteriorating patient,
- enables patient centered care planning,
- it can plan future appointments and care events,
- enables single point requesting of consultations and testing.
However, like any tool knowing how to use the eMR to its full capacity requires education and training.

The eMR Education Team:
Our Vision: Deliver meaningful eHealth education to empower and support all staff in the delivery of quality care.
Available Monday to Friday, the eMR Education Team is made up of Clinical Nurse Educators and experienced Health Administration support Educators.
With diverse backgrounds in healthcare provision the team have been formed to help all eMR users get the best education possible, focusing on work practice-based education and patient centered care.
The educators have hubs in Clarence, Richmond and Tweed networks and provide the following forms of education:
•Powerchart, Firstnet , Surginet , CHOC, ERIC and MOSAIQ
•Core orientation comprehensive training
•In-Servicing
•At the elbow support
•Individual staff support training
•We are open to other requests for training
